X-WATERS Imandra 2025

X-WATERS Imandra 2025: swim on Imandra, the largest lake on the Kola Peninsula. The depth reaches 67 meters, and the water transparency is 6 meters The largest lake in Russian Lapland in the Murmansk region is unpredictable and very harsh. On July 12 and 13, real athletes and daredevils will evaluate their strength at distances of 100 m, 1 km, 2.5 km, 10 km, as well as the new X-JUNIORS 500 m.

In 2022, for the first time in history, we swam across the beautiful Lake Imandra — in its widest part.

In 2024, we held the first marathon distance!

Participants in the 100 m distance start from the beach near the pier, swim around the marker buoy and head to the finish arch.

Participants in the 1 km distance start from the beach near Leningradskaya Embankment 38, move along the navigation buoys towards the Monument to the Defenders of the Arctic. Participants move clockwise, passing the buoys on the left side, leaving them on the right hand side.

Participants in the 2.5 km "Circle of Love" distance start from the embankment near the Monument to the Defenders of the Arctic and go around the Island of Love, then move towards the finish. The start and finish are in 1 place.

Participants in the 10 km distance start at Rizh-Guba and move with individual support towards the embankment of Monchegorsk (Monument to the Defenders of the Arctic). There is a 5 km control cutoff with a time limit on the 10 km distance. Participants who do not pass this cutoff are removed from the distance and taken to the starting point by boat. The final decision on the direction of the distances will be made on the day of the swim, based on weather conditions.
